What we collect

When you make an enquiry we collect the details you give us: your name, contact details, travel dates, group size, hotel, and anything you tell us about dietary requirements, medical conditions or swimming ability.

The booking form on this site does not transmit anything on its own — it composes a message that you choose to send us by WhatsApp or email.

Why we hold it

To answer your enquiry, run your trip safely, meet the passenger-manifest requirements that apply to boat operators, and handle insurance matters if something goes wrong.

Who we share it with

Only the people who need it to run your trip: our boat crews and guides, our transfer drivers, our insurer if there is an incident, and the national park authority where a passenger manifest is required by law. We do not sell your details to anyone.

How long we keep it

No longer than we need it. Booking records are kept for the period Thai accounting and insurance rules require, and are deleted after that.

The visit records described under cookies and analytics are deleted automatically: the detail of an individual visit after six months, and the random device number after roughly a year. The anonymous daily totals are kept, because they are how we compare one season with the last and they identify nobody.

Photographs

Our guides take photographs and video on trips and share them with guests afterwards. If you would rather not appear in anything we post publicly, tell your guide on the day or message us — we will leave you out, and you do not need to give a reason.

Cookies and analytics

We carry no advertising trackers and share nothing with ad networks. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel and no third-party script of any kind on this site.

We do count how many times each page is looked at, which country visitors are in, whether they are on a phone or a laptop, and how often somebody taps WhatsApp, phone or email. These are daily totals — a number against a date — and they do not identify anybody. They are collected whatever you answer to the question below, because there is nothing in them to link back to you.

The one thing we ask permission for is remembering your device. If you agree, we store a random number in your browser so we can tell that two visits came from the same device — which lets us see, for example, that somebody read three trip pages before getting in touch. It is a random number and nothing else: not your name, not your email, and not anything we could use to find out who you are. Say no and none of it is stored, the site works exactly the same, and we will not ask again.

We never store your IP address. Your country and nearest city are worked out at the moment you load a page and only that result is kept.

Nothing you type into the booking form is sent anywhere until you press the button that hands it to WhatsApp. At that point we do keep a copy of the enquiry, so a message that fails to arrive is not simply lost.

Changing your mind

Clearing your browser data for this site removes the random number and everything attached to it, and you will be asked again on your next visit. You can also email us and we will delete anything we hold.

Your rights

Under Thailand's PDPA — and the GDPR if you are visiting from the EU or UK — you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will action it.
