Phuket to Lanta is the run our Google listing is partly named for, and it is the one where a private car earns its money. The shared minibus alternative stops repeatedly, changes vehicles at Krabi, and takes most of a day.
We drive it directly: off Phuket via the Sarasin Bridge, down through Phang Nga and Krabi, then the car ferry across to Lanta. One vehicle, one driver, stops when you want them.
It is a long day whichever way you do it. Bring something to watch, and tell us if you want a food stop — most people do, roughly halfway.

Good to know
- Allow 4 to 5 hours, longer in high season if the ferry is busy.
- A minivan is worth it for four or more people with luggage.
- We can break the journey in Krabi or Ao Nang if you want to see something on the way.
- Child seats are available — ask when you book, they are not on every vehicle.
- Prices are per vehicle, not per person, so the fare does not change with the number of seats used.

How does the Phuket run work?
It is the longest transfer we do — a road journey from Phuket down through Krabi province, then the car ferry across to Koh Lanta. One vehicle, your group only, door to door.
Should we take the car or the van for Phuket?
The luxury van, if there is any doubt. Both seat up to four, but on a run this long the high roof and the room for four large cases make a real difference.
Can you collect from Phuket airport and from a hotel?
Both. Give us the terminal or the hotel name and the time, plus a flight number if you are flying in, and we will quote a fixed price for the whole vehicle.
Are there stops on the way?
Tell us if you want one when you book and we will factor it in. Otherwise it is a direct run with breaks as you need them.
How much does a transfer cost?
We quote a fixed price for the whole vehicle rather than publishing a fare, because the right number depends on the route, which vehicle suits your luggage, and the time of day. Send us the pickup point, the destination and your date on WhatsApp and we will come back with the total in writing before you commit to anything. The ferry crossing is inside that number rather than an extra collected at the pier, and the price is per vehicle rather than per person, so it does not change with how many seats you use.
