If you have come in on the passenger ferry from Phi Phi, Krabi or Koh Lipe, you arrive at Saladan in the north of the island. Most accommodation is not in Saladan.
The touts at the pier will quote you whatever they think you will pay. We will tell you the price before you arrive and we will be there when the boat docks.
Kantiang Bay and the far south are a genuine 45-minute drive from the pier — worth knowing before you agree a price with someone on the dock.

Questions about this route
Where exactly do you meet us at Saladan pier?
At the pier itself as you come off the boat. We send the driver name and vehicle the day before, and in high season several ferries land close together, so having it arranged beforehand saves a scrum.
How far is Saladan from the beaches?
Saladan is at the northern tip. Klong Dao is a short hop; Long Beach and Klong Khong are further down; Klong Nin is mid-island and Kantiang Bay is well south. The further you are staying, the more worth arranging a car in advance it is.
Can you take us to the pier for a morning ferry?
Yes, and it is worth booking the night before. Ferry departures cluster in the morning and that is exactly when cars are hardest to find on the spot.
Do you carry luggage for a group?
The luxury van takes four large cases and the car takes two, both seating up to four people. Tell us how many bags when you ask and we will send the right vehicle.
How much does a transfer cost?
We quote a fixed price for the whole vehicle rather than publishing a fare, because the right number depends on the route, which vehicle suits your luggage, and the time of day. Send us the pickup point, the destination and your date on WhatsApp and we will come back with the total in writing before you commit to anything. The ferry crossing is inside that number rather than an extra collected at the pier, and the price is per vehicle rather than per person, so it does not change with how many seats you use.
