Ao Nang is a common first stop in Krabi, and plenty of people move on to Lanta after a few days. The drive is much the same as the airport run, joining the same road south at Krabi Town.

Is Ao Nang to Koh Lanta a long journey?
Shorter than the Phuket run but it still involves the car ferry, so the queue is the variable. Message us with your date and we will give you an honest range rather than a number that is wrong half the time.
Can you collect from any Ao Nang or Railay hotel?
From Ao Nang, yes — give us the hotel name. Railay is reached by boat, so tell us where you will actually be standing and we will sort the meeting point with you.
Do you run this route in both directions?
Yes. Koh Lanta back to Ao Nang is just as common, and the ferry is included either way.
Is a private car worth it over the shared minibus?
On a shared minibus you wait for it to fill, then sit in the same ferry queue, then possibly get dropped last. With luggage or children it is a false economy. Alone and travelling light, the shared option is perfectly reasonable.
